Millenniums between rivers - archaeology between rivers

In the organization of the Cultural Center of the City of Beli Manastir, the Croatian Archaeological Society, the Archaeological Museum of Osijek, the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb and the Institute of archaeology from October 2 to 6, 2023, an annual scientific meeting will be held under the name:
"Millenniums between rivers - archaeology between rivers".
In the confluence of the Sava, Drava and Danube rivers, many protective archaeological investigations have been carried out in the last 15 years as part of large infrastructure projects. Also, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the media, research on the Danube Limes was set up as a strategic project within the nomination "Borders of the Roman Empire - World Heritage Monument" on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Numerous significant and continuous work encouraged the Croatian Archaeological Society to hold the Society's meeting in Beli Manastir for the first time in 2023.
In addition to the main topic of the meeting, this year we are introducing another topic, called "Results of new research", in which colleagues can present in a slightly shorter form (10 minutes) the results of archaeological excavations, multidisciplinary research as part of scientific and professional projects, publishing and exhibition activities etc. In addition to the two topics, contributions to the "Posters" session are welcome.
The registration fee for participation in the meeting (both members of the Company and all other participants) is 35 euros. If lecturers regularly pay the membership fee to the Society, the registration fee is reduced to 10 euros. Lecturers who are not members of the Society or have yet to pay the membership fee for the current year are 35 euros.

We invite all colleagues whose research work was related to the main topic of the meeting, as well as those who want to present the results of their recent work within the framework of another topic or through Posters, to contribute to the success of the meeting with their contributions. Titles of lectures and/or posters and short summaries must be received by June 1, 2023, at the Society's email ([javascript protected email address]).
