Early Iron Age in Central Europe
07/01/2026 — 07/04/2026
The Early Iron Age in Central Europe conference was established with the aim of focusing exclusively on issues related to the study of the Early Iron Age in the given region (Ha C – LT A).
Over more than ten years since its establishment, the EIA conference has become a well-functioning platform for bringing together specialists in the Early Iron Age across the wider Central European region, facilitating both the exchange of knowledge and the establishment of important research contacts. The first conference took place in 2015 in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. As early as the second conference in 2017, held in Nürnberg, approximately 80 participants attended. Subsequent conferences were held in 2019 in Wrocław (Poland), in 2022 in Nitra (Slovakia), in 2024 in Linz (Austria). This year conference is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Archaeology, Zagreb and Archaeological Museum Osijek.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 6th international conference “Early Iron Age in Central Europe” that will take place in Osijek (Eastern Croatia) on July 1th – 4th 2026.
Please send your abstracts via registration form by 30 April 2026 to [javascript protected email address].
