The Institute of Archaeology is organizing a round table on 13 December 2024 from 13:00 entitled: "Cultural Landscapes of Iron Metallurgy in the Sava and Drava River Basins during Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages: Results of the 1st Year of the Project". The project with the acronym KulturFER (ABOUT THE PROJECT) funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (IP-2022-10-1846), includes extensive and systematic research on ferrous metallurgy in the geographically and archaeologically dynamic area of the Sava and Drava river basins during antiquity and the early Middle Ages. During the round table, the project team will present the results achieved in 2024. This year's research focused on geoarchaeological investigations of central continental Croatia, the hilly Dinaric landscape (Petrova, Trgovska, and Zrinska gora), and Pokuplje and Posavina's lowland areas.
