The Library of the Institute of Archaeology
The Library of the Institute of Archaeology was founded in 1969 as a special library. It is intended primarily for the needs of the scientific research work of the Institute of Archaeology and its associates. The library fund consists of literature from the field of national archaeology, general archaeology, history, art history, architecture, etc. The library fund consists of three basic collections: a collection of books/monographs, a collection of periodicals and a smaller collection of old printed books. The library stores the following collection: monographs, proceedings, exhibition catalogues, reference works, doctoral dissertations, master's theses, offprints, and, serial publications. Part of the library's collection consists of specialized collections bequeathed by eminent scholars such as the Mate Suić Library and offprints and exhibitions catalogues of Cvito Fisković.
The Library of the Institute of Archaeology has an established exchange of publications (journals and books) with around a hundred similar institutions in Croatia and three hundred foreign ones.
