Participation In Teaching

The academic staff of the Institute of Archaeology take part in teaching at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels at the department of Archaeology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the department of Croatology at the Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb. The specialisations of the Institute's staff mostly pertain to specific chronological periods. Through postgraduate education and work on scientific projects, scholars acquire expert knowledge on specific topics (communities, architecture, mosaics, defence systems, workshop centres, earthen fortifications, fortified towns, holy places, burial customs). The specific knowledge of the Institute’s employees is the reason they frequently become mentors in graduate and postgraduate studies, as well as members of committees for defending master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
