The structure of late antique identities in the settlements of late antique Pannonia

The multi-centennial presence of the Romans and their influence until late antiquity has left a strong imprint. The legacy of prehistoric communities is generally only barely discernible in the material remains in rural areas. Nevertheless, the socio-historical processes in late antiquity were very complex, with a constant influx of new elements that left an indelible mark in the formation of identities in late antique Pannonia, which we can today see in the material culture.
